Ok, i have a friend who has a notebook with a built in wireless card. Recently he has bought a wireless router and asked me if he could set it up in my room that way we could share the same connection and i told him sure.

He bought this D-link wireless router (i dont know what model it is, i am currently at work right now), but i set it up, and followed the manual to the "T".

Now, i have DSL, so my computer has to "establish a connection" to my ISP, over PPPoE.

I have the DSL box plugged into the WAN like it should be, and my computer is plugged into one of the ports. I have configured the router so that the WAN is set up for PPPoE, and uses a Dynamic address. I also have DHCP set-up as well.

Here is my problem: When the DSL box is connected to the WAN, and when i go to connect to my ISP it sits on trying PPPoE WAN miniport then after a lil bit it says fialed to connect, then gives the options to redial, cancel, more info.

The only way that it works, is if i plug the DSL box into one of the other ports besides the WAN, but then my buddy cannot get on.

I had it working at one point cause the i turned on the DMZ, but thought that was wierd that all of a sudden it worked, but then took it down to check something and now cannot get back on.

Any advice would be helpful.
