Ok, i have a friend who has a notebook with a built in wireless card. Recently he has bought a wireless router and asked me if he could set it up in my room that way we could share the same connection and i told him sure. He bought this D-link wireless router (i dont know what model it is, i am currently at work right now), but i set it up, and followed the manual to the "T". Now, i have DSL, so my computer has to "establish a connection" to my ISP, over PPPoE. I have the DSL box plugged into the WAN like it should be, and my computer is plugged into one of the ports. I have configured the router so that the WAN is set up for PPPoE, and uses a Dynamic address. I also have DHCP set-up as well. Here is my problem: When the DSL box is connected to the WAN, and when i go to connect to my ISP it sits on trying PPPoE WAN miniport then after a lil bit it says fialed to connect, then gives the options to redial, cancel, more info. The only way that it works, is if i plug the DSL box into one of the other ports besides the WAN, but then my buddy cannot get on. I had it working at one point cause the i turned on the DMZ, but thought that was wierd that all of a sudden it worked, but then took it down to check something and now cannot get back on. Any advice would be helpful. You can be amused by the simplest of things. The smartest people in the world, over-look the smallest objects. War does not determine who is right, only who is left.
