I am having trouble setting up a home wireless network:

I am running Windows XP, my ISP is Earthlink DSL connecting with a Speedstream USB/Ethernet modem.

I purchased a Belkin DSL gateway/router and do not get an internet connection when the modem is connected to the WAN receptacle on the router, but works fine when connected directly to the NIC on the host PC.

Can anyone offer any help???

It could be just a simple as naming your router. I use Cox@Home or whatever it is now and I needed to name the router the name Cox gave me for my computer. I couldn't get a DHCP address on the router until I did that.

Do you receive an address currently? I'm sure the router has a status page that will tell you. Log on to the router and see what it says.
