I'm having problems with my wireless connection. The router is through my computer and my brother connects to it from a wireless usb but every so often it just disconnects and won't connect again on his computer. Its says to reset the router but that does not help. My computer still works fine the whole time.
if anyone could help that would be great thanks.

There is usually one of two issues when a wireless network keeps dropping signal. The first is interference from another wireless network or cordless phones. Going into the configuration utility and changing the channel can help. The second issue that causes wireless networks to drop connections is weak signals being received by the client adapter. The more walls between the router and the computer means the weaker the signal will be. USB WiFi adapters have much weaker antennas and cannot receive signals as well than PCI WiFi cards do.

Upgrade the wireless adapter driver on that problematic computer if possible. See whether it helps..

Also take a look on this slow wireless network speed or disconnected issue article.

Hope helps..

Sometimes it could simply be the wireless usb is not able to catch the router. How far away is he? I have a brother upstairs who has had this problem kind of, try moving the computer (or just the wireless usb if its moveable) around, up or down and see if different positions offer better signals.
