Greetings,
I am trying to share a dsl connection using a Belkin wireless cable/dsl gateway router and a Belkin wireless USB network adaptor. I have intalled the gateway router to the computer with the dsl connection. This computer is running Win98. Everything seems fine with the router and it is able to connect through the dsl modem. I then installed the wireless usb adapter to the my other computer running Win ME and the device seems to be functioning properly, but I am unable to connect to the router or anything. I have used the network setup wizard on both machines and this does not seem to help. I then tried to install the Belkin network software and get an error that says "you have more than one adaptor installed and must adjust these settings" so I tried to unistall the other adapters to leave only the usb wireless adaptor but they are reinstalled on boot-up.I would be truly grateful for any help!

i though u are suppose to connect the cable connection direct to the router ?? why are u conencting it to your pc and then trying to route? and your wireless did u set the SSID correctly and the channel for it to connect ??

Hello,
Thank you for the reply. I figured out what the problem was. My router uses DHCP and the client computer was not set up to receive an ip address automatically and the internet connection settings were set for a proxy server which was wrong. Everything is working fine now.Andrew
