wireless network unobtainable, reset router three times

January 26, 2013 at 08:06:35
Specs: Windows Vista, intel duo2, 2.27GHz/2.0GB

neither of 2 laptops can find my home network, why (one is Vista, the other 7, I reset the router three times already), it finds other networks but I do not have security keys for those. I can connect to a public network just fine.

Try changing the wireless channel that the router uses in the router's configuration utility.
The best channels are 1, 6, and 11

Don't forget to save or apply the new channel setting before closing the configuration utility.

Then shutdown and restart the two laptops before going back into the available networks selector.

Do you mean your network is not even showing?

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
