Comment:

We have set up a wireless network in our condo. There are two walls that separate the computers of this network. We have found the internet connection on the computer with the wireless card (secondary computer) to be quite inconsistent. Of note, this network card has been tried with another computer that is in the same room as the host/primary computer, and had the same results. Does anybody know what could be causing this? I don't think it is interference..

sounds like interference, load up the xp wireless monitor, or the util that shows the connection meter, see how much reception there is. if its not very much, try turning off devices like, printers, scanners, anything with a transformer, to see if anything is causing the connection to drop out.

wireless networks dont like electrical noise, nor loud music (sounds silly) but they dont work very well in public places due to the amount of ambient noise
