hi
about a week ago i bought a linksyss wireless b router and the wireless laptop network card. I installed the card and the computer recognizes it. However whenever I open the internet explorer and start to browse to sites, the computer randomly restarts. I am pretty sure that the network card causes this problem because only occurs when i go online. If I just use the laptop for other things, it works fine. Also while browsing the web, i often get a blue screen ........ heres what it says

exception OE
0028: DB6AEB7 in VXD___ was called from 0028:1c3d4 in VXD NDIS (01)+ Cooo4680

i never get this blue screen if im not online.

The laptop is a toshiba tecra 8100
pentium 3 500mhz 128mb pc100 ram

does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this problem, i would appreciate it. thanks

Your right its your NIC card. Is that card you got compatible with 98?

I would go to Linksys web site and download a new NIC driver for your OS and try that. There might be a new release or a fix.
