Comment:

I have just upgraded my router from a belkin Wireless G 54Mb standard wi-fi router to a Belkin Wireless G+ MIMO and am having some problems.

The problem is that not one of the laptop computers in my house is able to connect to this new router.

In fact the router does not even show up in scans for available routers.

Any one have any suggestions as settings that might need to be reconfigured to make it work?

Surely I don't need new hardware for the laptops? 2 are under a week old and one is a year old. Yet another is 3 years old, and one I just got today.

Thanks

What did you do to configure wireless access to the new router?

Give a person a fish you feed them for a day.
Ask a person to internet search and they learn a skill for a lifetime.

Is the "wireless" portion of the router (I have also seen it called "radio" in some routers.) turned on? Furthermore, is it set to broadcast an SSID? If yes, to both you could try manually setting the SSID on one of your systems to that SSID. Otherwise, you need to turn on wireless and SSID broadcast (if it is not already turned on.
