Why did you buy a new router? Was there a problem with the old router?

It's possible your new router is bad out of the box. First try resetting it to factory defaults and then reconfigure it. If that doesn't improve connectivity, try pulling it right out of the mix (ie: connect your modem to your PC directly) and see if the issue goes away.

If it does, your router's the problem....take it back and exchange it for a new one. If it doesn't, then the issue may be your modem or your ISP.
