I have been trying to set up wireless network at home, i have bought a netgear wireless router so that I am able to use the laptop anywhere in the house.i followed the instruction in how to set up the wireless router both enabling and disabling the security (just to see where i have gone wrong) but stil i cannot access the internet, my laptop can see and connect the router point but it keep saying limited or no connectivity and it keep saying that it cant get the IP address. however if i use the ethernet cable between the pc and the router i have a full function of the internet? can anyone help me in where i am going wrong.

thank you

Hello,

If your getting an ip via LAN, then probrably a problem with wireless settings.

Try the wireless device and client with NO security enabled and gradually work your way up from there.

Make sure the device has no MAC filters applied.
