Hi I have recently set up a wireless network to share adsl with 3 commuters and for the most part it works fine. 1 computer is wired to the Linksys adsl gateway and 2 others are connected with Linksys wireless USB interfaces. Everything works ok, except every so often at regular intervals access to the dsl freezes on the wirelessly linked pcs, for several seconds. This is most (only?) noticeable if playing an online game as the connection will freeze for several seconds and so the game will pause temporarily. Except for this the network runs great - speeds are blinding and there are no other issues. I figure that it is a simple problem like the wireless link checking itself regularly, and has a reasonably simple solution, but what do I know? Thanks v. much for any replies, much appreciated.

I am having a similar problem with linksys. I have a cable connection that I am routing and I currently have 2 pcs hooked up, one with an ethernet cable to the router, and one with a wireless adapter. The pc with the wireless adapter works fine while surfing but when i play an online game the connection freezes for several seconds, and i get a 'lag'. Downloads frequently freeze as well. I was also thinking that maybe the adapter was checking the connection to the network now and then but i don't know how to solve this problem. I'm sure there is a solution to this problem - my friends also have a linksys router and they have about 4 pcs hooked up with wireless adapters and they work fine with no 'lag' at all. Just so you know I have a linksys 2.4ghz band 802.11B router. My two pcs are both 2ghz+ with 512mb ram. Tips or replies are very appreciated - Thanks!
