Specs: Windows XP sp2, intel core 2 duo 1.66ghz/ 4gig ddr2
my wireless card/network won't detect any networks when i know very well there is a signal, since many other laptops can see it, even at this moment, ive tried so many things over time to fix this i can't remember most of them, it will give me a little message box saying found networks click here to view, and when i open it theres nothing, ive tried repairing it, software upgrades, reinstalling it, system restore, nothing works??? i'm good with pc's but i'm so clueless here. and i tried reinstalling xp fresh and it worked for barely a day and then the same thing happened again, i tried a system restore and it worked fine then i rebooted and it died again and i didnt install or change anything during the reboot, so idn.

You know the next thing on the list would be...try installing another wireless card. The hardware of the one you have now may be on the fritz.

well idn how it'd be on the fritz when it works on every fresh install of xp, and this is a laptop i dont want cards sticking out of my card slot. and also, it must be working since xp gives me the info ballon saying it has found networks, it just won't see them when i open the actual window.
