i have a data recorder. data recorder stores data. this data i want to transfer to a laptop using a wireless link. what type of wireless module i have to use? i know in laptop we have some wireless interface. at transmitter side if we choose the same type of wireless interface then transmission and receptions are easy. so my problem is what type of interface or module i have to use for establishinbg a wireless link which should satisfy WLAN standard protocol like 802.11 g/n. please help me.

How is the data recorder connected to the network? Does it have an IP address?
