Comment: dear networking people bieng very new to networking i have problem..all the computers at work are networked to a server at work through a host computer and every computer can see each others drives! thats the good bit! now i was landed the job of trying to put a laptop and wireless card to the same network so that the laptop can see the drives also. what do i do ??? the laptop can connect to the network but how do i configure the laptop or the host computer to show all the drives from the network on the laptop in MY COMPUTER..im not worried about passwords as they have all that at work so this is not an attempt to gain access the wrong way please help if you dont go within/you will go without!

Many people do what is called mapping or map a network folder to a drive letter. It can be reconnected everytime you power up too. Not sure what happened to 2000's computers close to me deal. There are plenty of other ways to access remote resources. Even using your browser to save favorites. I might suggest that your plan be reviewed to be more secure. Do you need all that access without passwords? Do you need wireless? I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.
