Ok I use a linksys wireless network.

Basically Ive had the wireless g adapter v4 for over a year and have been using that witha standard router

I am pretty far from the main router so my wireless g hasnt been getting much connection lately

So I purchased a azio wireless adapater

It get GREAT reception and can get me speeds of over 15megs with my comcast service.

Well heres the issue it has periods every couple minutes or so where it just lags to high hell for about 5 seconds and seems to just drop all connections.

I really dont know whats going on because it says the connection is fine but then it seems to stop working for a few seconds

It wont drop the connection it just lags a lot and i really dont know what hte problem is

the wireless g never had this lag but it doesnt get much of a signal

I use a TKIP encrypted connection with a home friendly password

You could put a packet sniffer, like Wireshark, on your computer and run it on the wireless interface to see what kind of traffic is passing through and what's going on. At least, that's where I'd start in a case like this.

Go to that azio manufacturer website to download the latest firmware of that wireless adapter and install it. Sometimes the problem can be caused by hardware...
