this is driving me insane! the internet wont work on my computer when i connect to my router wirelessly. it work if i connect with a hardline, all other wireless computers on the network work fine, and my laptop works fine with all other wireless networks. just one day decided to stop working. this is my router NETGEAR WGR614 54 Mbps 802.11g Wireless Router http://www.netgear.com/Products/Rou... and this is my computer: http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,1... this is seriously driving me crazy. theres no reason why it shouldnt work. help!

Make sure you don't have a mac filter setup on the router that is blocking this laptop. Also...might help if you clarified the problem. Does it not connect at all, or does it give you an IP and you just can't connect to the internet. Can you ping 192.168.1.1 ? Also...go to command prompt and type ipconfig /all and post the result hope this helps.

it does assign an ip address, but thats about it. using another PC i can see that its connected when i go to the router browser. when i ping the router it says "connection times out" heres the ipconfig command: thinking i messed something up i even reset the router back to factory settings to see if it would help, but it didnt. i appreciate any advice you could give. thanks. http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/...
