i've got a linksys wireless router with one computer connected through ethernet, and two connected via wireless. i'm trying to add a third one, which was purchased in japan(it has 802.11 a/b/g) and it can see the wireless, but when i go to connect, it just keeps telling me to wait, and never connects.

any suggestions?

Check your router configuration. There could be many reasons why the wireless wont connect. The one that I could think of right now is checking if you have enabled Wireless MAC filter. What this option does? It allows users whose MAC address is in the filter list.
So if you have this option enabled and haven’t added the MAC address of the computer your connecting then please do and then try.

Steps to check if your Wireless MAC Filter option is enabled:
1. Open your router interface 192.168.1.1
2. Wireless tab
3. Under Wireless “Wireless MAC Filter”

Give it a try…

i don't have that option enabled, and i've tested using different laptops who aren't typically in the network, and those work fine. it's just the one laptop that doesn't want to cooperate.
