We have a HP - with Windows XP on it. My husband bought a wireless internet card and then loaded with the help of Qwest (our internet provider), when done installing, Qwest told him to reboot. Now our computer won't reboot. The HP screen shows up but then goes to a black screen. What happened? Everything was working perfectly before that?

If everything was working perfectly, and then you just did exactly what Qwest instructed you to do to set up their service, and then your computer basically just stopped working, then I would say that Qwest needs to help you fix the problem. Of course, I know by experience the pain of getting Qwest to do anything they don't want to do (but they have no problem sending you the bill!), but from your description it sounds like their product/service installation screwed up your computer. If nothing else they need to help you to get the computer back to where it was and agree that their product/service is incompatible with your computer for some reason.
