wireless faster than wired?

Specs: Windows 7
if i go wired i get 100mbps on both my laptop and desktop unit if i switch to wireless they both go 135 to 150 mbps any ideas? both units have megabit cards. My laptop i use at work at 1.0gbps no problem. It doesnt change no mater where i plug into at home or with different cables same speeds

Are you plugging the cables into a Gigabit switch?

if your switch or router isnt a gig no deal. its either that or the switch or router cant connect nogotiate to that speed.

also thats the reported speed from wireless. as the number of hosts conecting to it and useing it goes up the speed goes down due to the fact that its a collision domain/broadcast medium. where as with wired each host will always get 100mb. by this i mean is all the hosts talk to each other this is the case.

but more importantly if your are just conecting to the internet and not connecting to another pc on your network. then as long as your connection is faster than your internet conection then its all fine.
