Netgear WN3000RP installed to extend ATT gateway. Extender led is green and status shows link rate to router of 54mbps. But Toshiba laptop network finder says "local access only."

"local access only" means the laptop is picking up the router wireless signal okay, it just can't connect to the internet for some reason, so the only access you have is to your internal network. 1.First make sure your router (not the extender) is showing no internet connection errors such as flashing lights. If that's OK proceed to:
2. Right-click the network icon in the notification area and choose "Diagnose and repair"

post a ipconfig /all from the laptop for review
