Specs: Windows 7, i5, 8gb
HI there,

I have a few d-link DIR-615 connected strictly as AP's ,so all DHCP server etc is disabled.

wireless is as follows:
auto 20/40mhz
auto channel

When I connect my lenovo laptop to either of the 2 access points, initially it connects at 300mb - on 2 channels, however after a few minutes it drops one of the 2 connected channels (I can see this via xirrus wifi scanner) and then the connection drops to 150mb)

any ideas?

Define a channel which is compatible in your country.

Thing is, having a 300Mb Wi-Fi connection, makes use of several channels. This can cause congestion due to overlapping.

It is very likely that your APs detect other Wi-Fi signals (interference) and, as a result, fall back to 150Mb.
