Hello All,
I am having a weird issue with my Wireless setup. I have a Linksys BEFW11S4v2 wireless router. My PC is using a Belkin USB wireless network adapter.
Last night, I needed to reinstall the drivers for the wireless adapter. After I rebooted, I can no longer access the internet. I can browse to other PCs on my network, and CAN ping my ISP's DNS servers, but they are not resolving locally. When I use my laptop with the router (wired in, not wireless) I have full functionality. That tells me that it's not a router issue.
If I do an ipconfig/displaydns, it comes back with only 2 entries: localhost and 1.0.0.120.in-addr.arpa
I have double-checked all the settings on the adapter and the router. I am getting 100% Link and Signal strength.
This is the second time this has happened. Last time I ended up doing a fresh reinstall of Windows and then it worked. However last night it stopped working.
The ipconfig/registerdns does not do anything. Is there some sort of setting or cahed information that needs to be cleared?
I hope someone has seen this before. Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated!
Mike
p.s. This same thing happened with a Linksys WMP11 wireless PCI card (Full InTRAnet functionallity, but no InTERnet functionallity) I ended up getting rid of that card because I thought it was bad, but the Belkin does the same exact thing.
