Comment: I have a linksys wireless router and everything was working fine this morning. All of a sudden i lost connectivity on two of my computers(desktop and a laptop). Two other computers one hard wired, and another laptop are connecting to the network fine. There were no changes mode but for some reason the router is not assigning an ip address to me. The wireless cards are working fine as I am able to connect to other wireless n/w but not to my home network. Any suggestions on why that might be happening?

Reply: (edit)Some more info, when i try to connect, my wireless card tries to obtain an ip from the network and then gives a limited or no connectivty message. I did a packet snoop while trying to connect and found the following. Can someone please help me decode this? I saw four DHCP requests without any replies. All these messages did not have an ip address assigned to them but coming from a subnet mask of 255.255.255.255. Then there was a broadcast message from 169.x.x.x of "Who has a 169.254.103.1 address". Then i got the V3 membership report, registration and name query. But still no connectivty. I am sure some of of u gurus would be able to help me out and tell me some steps I can take to get connectivity back. Thanks for your help

Reply: (edit)Have you tried resetting the router or even unplugging it for a few seconds? What about changing the router's channel so it's not on the default 6. And have you tried a hard-reset (hold reset for 10 seconds) to "reboot" the router back to default.
