I have two wireless connection managers on my computer, the windows zero client and an Intel PROset client. I am also fairly sure that I have two wireless connections, wireless connection seven, and wireless connection four. However, for some reason only one of them will show up at a time in my Network Connections window, and it may or may not connect to the network. However, whether it does or not does not seem to have any bearing on whether I can connect to the internet or not!

It seems to me that whatever connection my PROset client is monitoring is not visible in my network connections list. This is a problem, since I would like to create a network bridge between my wireless connection and my LAN connection, in order to hook my Xbox up to the internet.

Does anyone have suggestions on how I can make my active and connected wireless connection show up in my network connections panel?

The wireless zero site says not to run a second manager at the same time. The same goes for interfaces, one at a time.

Thanks...I guess. I don't actually run more than one at a time. However, when one is activated I see one network connection, and when the other is activated, I see a different one. I would really like to be able to see both whenever I use either, especially since I cannot delete one of them.

The shut both of them and use
ipconfig /all
or
netstat -an
to see what adapter has an IP address.

Run those commands from a command prompt.

For the Dell laptop, you should disable the Wireless Zero Configuration service and use the Intel ProSet software for the wireless connection. The Intel software is more configurable and tweakable. When the Intel Proset software is running, you can view your connection options and active connection within that window.
