I recently bought a wireless router (BWA-611) and a wireless networking card (D-Link DWL-520), they were pretty cheap, but I figured they'd do for now. I installed the card, and setup the wireless network. I have the router in the living room along with another PC that is wired into it. However, every 30-60 minutes the wireless connection fails, but the other PC stays online. After that there is no way to reconnect (not even by restarting) except by unplugging the router and plugging it back in, which seems to me that its a problem with the router, since I didn't even have to touch the wireless card or reboot. I have updated the firmware, but it still disconnects every 30 - 60 minutes.
Where is the wireless computer? is it behind a thick wall? Make sure up update the latest firmware for the router AND the latest driver for the wireless card..Make sure your router is on higher ground then the wireless card

I have a 100% strength signal pretty much 90% of the time, and then mid 90% the rest of the time. I'm not that far eagle eye away, its just running wire up the ceiling and around corners and stuff wouldn't be as effecient as wireless. I had already had the latest firmware, and I updated the driver for the card last night, but I still get disconnected every 30-60 minutes.

I have a similar problem. I have a d-link di-713p router hooked up to dsl and a dwl-120 usb card, and when I have anything transferring data for too long it disconnects. It usually disconnects within five to ten minutes of me having an internet program running or a file downloading. This is a big problem, considering one of the nice things about having dsl is being able to download big files. Please anyone help. if you also needed to know, i have an asus a7v333 mobo and amd processor.
