on a freebee wifi internet connection like one found in barns&nobel or something, is there any way of finding out who is on line?
when I connect to a wireless wifi internet connection somewhere what information does my computer send out?
-Computer not registered
-Computer name not specific

I think your computer just sends out your computer Mac address and if you want to know who is connected to the wireless internet go to network places if you cant see anything then go to start, search, computers or people, a computer on the network, and dont type anything just leave it blank and click search. But if the network or wifi internet doesn't have a good server meaning security and stuff people with the right tools could get more information than just you computer's name
