Comment:

I just built a new computer running Vista Ultimate 64bit. I at first tried making my old wireless card work, but it did not go so well after numerous hours of attempts.

I eventually went and bought a new Vista certified wireless card. I have re-seated it at least 10 times, tried other PCI slots, have gone through every guide I found, and it still does not work.

The new one actually isn't even listed in the device manager right now, and I can't seem to understand why. I went through everything I listed above and still have no luck.

If anybody could help me out I would be most appreciative, even to just get the card to list in the device manager.

The pci bus along with the bios has to report a device in most cases. Check bios settings and look for conflicts in resources.

Dunno if the slot is good or card at this point either.

Sometimes you can move the cards in the slot positions.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.
