Hi, I am quite new to this networking thing and so I apoligze for my lack of knowledge. I am currently having problems connecting my microsoft wireless base station to a switch in the other room. The switch is a five port linksys (subdivision of cisco I think) and what I am trying to do is connect the wireless base to that switch. The switch is connecting three other workstations together. I tried running regular rj-45 ethernet wire from the ports on the base station to the switch but that doesn't seem to work. Do I need something other kind of cable? Is there a way I don't need to hard wire the connection between the wireless base station and switch in the next room? any suggestions? thanks so much
