Hello, I have this strange issue. I bought a Linksys wireless B router for $5.00 and my Vista laptop has an issue with it holding a connection. It will connect and do light surfing but if I try to download a file larger them 1 MB or get to a web site that takes a while to load up (5-6 seconds), then I lose connection.
I tried to download the latest firmware on the Linksys web site but it does not install. I even downloaded it on my Xp desktop and tried to install it though a wired connection and no success.
It's model # is BEFW11S4. I know it's an old router but did I loose 5 bucks or is there a way to get a better connection?
Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals ... except the weasel.
