I got a linksys wpc54g wireless adapter today and I tried to isntall it on my windows 98 system. When I installed the drivers, a windows prompt came up and asked for the Windows 98 CD Rom. I don't have it, so I couldn't complete the installation successfully, is there any place that I can download the drivers from?

Its looking for the basic Windows Networking software that is used with every network adaptor.

They are Microsoft files it is looking for so you will need a Windows 98 CD.

Most OEM systems have a copy of the Win98 installation files on the hard drive. I'm not sure about Dell but try c:\windows\options\cabs

If they are there, when it asks for your Win98 CD just change it to browse there.
