I have just purchased a WLU11A Wireless USB Adapter and I have it connected to a Compaq Laptop running Windows 2000 Pro. I am trying to connect to my DI-614+ Wireless Router in my home which is connected to my DSL Modem. The router is working, because my MAC OSX Laptop with Airport card connects to the internet fine. However, the USB adapter can't see the Router. The USB adapter CAN see the MAC when the USB adapter is running in 'AD HOC' mode, but it can't see the router when the USB adapter is running in 'Infrastructure' mode. I've tried changing literally every configuration with no luck. Does anyone have any experience with this exact product or similar issues with other products?
Had a similiar problem with a WLU11A Wireless USB Adapter and a WRT54G Wireless-G Broadband Router. I had 2 machiens connected to the router and then to my cable modem. Both machines saw each other and accessed the Internet. I added a 3rd machine (Wireless adapter) and it didn't see anything. I checked and double-checked the settings and everything was perfect. So I hard reset the router (turn it off and hit the reset button in for 30 seconds) then I turned it back on. I changed the SSID to "redbouncychewyball" (why? who knows...it sounded good at the time) and the adapter picked it up immediately. Then I changed the settings of the router back to what they were before I hard reset it and it works great.
