Ok heres the case, we have 3 computers wired using ethernet on the second floor. Now we have to move one of the computers, the fastest one, to the basement. I have a Netgear 4-port router. Is there any way to not have to completely replace the wired network with a wireless one. So that the 2 computers upstairs can still be wired and the one in the basement will be wireless. I've heard theres you can but a wireless access point in one of the ports of my router now and just get a wireless card for the computer downstairs. I also want to keep a decent bandwith so that I can download and have a ping under 100 for games. Thanks a ton.

you may try it. But you may experience some connection problems since the wireless in the basement and router in the 2nd floor.
