I have a winxp laptop and I want to connect with my school computer of win 98
how could I connect it and make my laptop use the school internet network as well??
Its pretty simple, but you do need to talk to the network admin, although your school may have 98 as a client they may use win2000 or NT4.0 as the server. Is the network client server or peer-to-peer? you need a unque IP address, not one already taken by another computer, you also need to know the domain or workgroup name. Or are you just trying to gain unauthorised entry?
