Hi, i have a home network with 4 users one of which is connected directly to the internet and sharing to the others. However, the host user is always hogging all the bandwidth, is there a way to share the bandwidth evenly? I've looked at Bandwitdh controller but that seems to give unfair priority to the host so doesnt seem like a good solution.

Any ideas?
Thanx

Probably the easiest way is to purchase a router! I have not found a solution to this problem, though if you are use 100 NIC's with the right RJ45 cabling it may help?

There is no way to be fair about network bandwidth through a Windows machine. On XP Pro, you can use gpedit.msc in the run command line and alter the bandwidth reserved for the system (default is 20%).

Now the question is: Is the bandwidth of other computers system bandwidth or user bandwidth? I would guess it as system - experiment with the setting.

A router would be a much better solution.
