I was having an issue with my wireless network adapter no being able to connect obtain a DHCP address (169.254.x.x). I installed the Winsockxpfix.exe hoping it would fix it. It didn't, so I restored my registry, however I when I log into my PC, I receive an annoying message the say something like "Please wait while the wireless subsystem attempts to verify DHCP". Anyone know a way to get rid of it? Or how to uninstall Winsockxpfix.exe?

You don't uninstall Winsockxpfix.exe. It was never installed. It runs once and that is it. If you want to remove the changes that it may have made then just restore to before you ran it.
I had the exact same problem. I ran winsockfix.exe and still did not work. I unistalled the wireless adapter and reinstalled it using the supplied CD and then worked.
