I have had an XP network running for months without problems but now it is being weird. My Desktop PC (XP Pro) has it's shared folder shared to the whole network with full rights (not read-only). All other PCs on the network can write to the shared folder and see files in it but they cannot open or copy the files. I could make folder WRITE-ONLY with UNIX but didn't know it was possible in Windows. Does anyone know how to get it back to full READ and write access?

You just adjust the folder's security properties. Right-click folder->Properties->Security tab.
