I am going our of my mind. This is crazy. I have 4 computers. The first one is the Office main computer (Windows XP Home) has the printers installed on it, and all files that I need to have access to. Then there is my Main Laptop(Windows XP Media Edition, Wireless). There a Desktop in the upstairs office(Windows XP Home) and then the last one another Laptop(Windows XP Home)and this one ONLY Needs Printer Share. The problem is this, the main Desktop can gain access to any of the computers I have, which to honest, is not too important, what I need is to have the other computers to gain access to the main Desktop, but I think I have received every error the Microsoft and it's great thinking has come up with. I can not gain any access to the Main Desktop. I have read more post on this subject then I really care to. Now I am asking for help. These are the errors I have gotten.

Access Denied
Server Services is not started
network path not found
Permissions are not granted.

I have tried every fix that I have found and nothing. I have not reverted back to a back and I want to start all over.

Any help would be great, and it would help save the rest of my hair.

Make sure your computers can ping each other. Your office desktop needs to have Windows file and Printer sharing enabled, the other computers need to have Client for Microsoft networks installed. Make sure your computers are in the same workgroup. Then make sure your office computer is sharing folders. For the permissions your going to need to setup user accounts on the main computer so the other computers can logon to the system, if you dont do this you will get permission errors. If your still having problems you can turn off simple file sharing and set the permissions manually.

Is this possible with XP Home BigJ ?
I don't have an XP Home machine and never use it, but if I remember right this is a feature of Pro not available in Home edition (without using the 'Safe Mode Hack' that is!).
Correct me if I'm wrong though, and the rest of the reply looks spot on.

Yep.. File Sharing/printer sharing with user/group permission is only available on XP pro.

To solve this problem, you need to ensure all computers are configured with correct IP, netmask and other network info, then please disable all firewalls (Windows firewall, antivirus firewall, etc) temporary till you solved the problem.
