I don't know if someone can help me but I'm really pissed off. I have an old computer -its system properties are written above. I can run any program on it however I couldn't run Windows Live Messenger 9.0. Actually it was running but I couldn't get my contacts anyway. So I re-install my old version and kept using it. But today I have got an update from Windows Live and I accepted it. It's been installed but I didn't choose all the programmes which update showed me. I only chose Mail. It failed for the first time but I tried to install again and it's done. Then I signed in. It was perfect till I realized that my contacts were lost again. I have Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP1, Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 SP2 and Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 installed on my computer. My friend who is a beta tester said that I need to install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 for MSN 9.0 for the first time. But I already had it installed. However it couldn't run now for this time, either. I tried to add someone, I failed. My friends can see me, they can contact with me but they seem Offline, I can't see them and my contact list still seems empty! I can't even add my .ctt file. I'm talking so long as I can but I really need help. Does anyone have an idea for me to fix this?

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 required for MSN 9.0 for the first time? Please ask your beta-test friend to re-read the system requirements for WLM 9 HERE.

As for the no contacts on WLM 9, you are not alone. Click on the link below to read MS response to the same question asked.
