My 2 PCs are connected with a crossover cable, using NIC cards. All works fine, until I try to browse directories on the remote computer. Explorer slows down, eating all CPU resources. It looks like the window loop in Explorer is out of control.

OS is Windows ME, same error with TCP/IP or Netbios. I have checked the protocols.
If I use an shareware demo "Explorer", all works fine. I think it has to be Explorer. Each time I access a new directory, the things goes slower, and CPU usage increase.
Some text in Explorer form is flickering, so I think it must be the windows message loop in Explorer takes all the resources.
