I have a full retail version of Windows 98 that hasn't been installed on any PC (it's factory sealed). I know that years ago that Microsoft discontinued support for the OS. But can I install it and get the updates that were released for it?

There are a number of unofficial sites where you can get the downloads. Google will tell you.

Problem with 98 is that there are no 98 mainboard or print drivers for new stuff. Pretty well ended windows 98 because of it.
