My roomate has a dell TrueMobile 2300 wirless router. I have a D-Link Networking card in my Compaq laptop. I cannot retrive the signal from the Dell wirless router. There is only about forty feet between the rooms. What needs to be done?

most likely to be configuration settings.

make sure the settings on the card is
using "access point" mode. if router
might have a WEP password code...

basically match the settings on your card
to the router settings.
