Hi,

I am having a headache getting VPN connection under Window 95/98 environment. I installed the VPN adapter included in Window 98 ME and the connection to my network worked well. But, that didn't happen when I installed the VPN in WIN95 and WIN98. I downloaded the Microsoft DUN 1.3 and Winsock2 Year 2000 Update and installed that into the 95/98. After the installation, VPN adapters are all in the Network settings.

But when I try to connect to my network, it just doesn't work like it did for Win98ME. Can someone tell me what's going on? Thanks!

Thanks for the link. I tried it and seems like uninstall and re-installing the VPN adapter doesn't work. I tried to specify the name server address in the VPN dial-up adapter setting and configured the lmhosts file; and the VPN connection finally worked for Win98ME. However, it still doesn't work for the Win95/98. It displays a warning message:

No domain server was available to validate your password. You may not be able to gain access to some network resources.

And after this, when i browse the network neighborhood, no network drives can be detected.

Could anyone please offer suggestions? Thanks!
