win2k computer not listed in Networ

on my home network, between the 2 computers at the moment, i can see myself (this computer running XP). But i dont see the windows 2k computer. On the win2k computer i can see this computer, but it cant see itself. Does anyone have a solution to let all computers see each other?.. or is that some security feature in windows 2000.. and will not being able to see that computer on the network affect anytying? thanks.

btw their both on the same workgroup, and both can access the internet..

How are they connected to the Internet? Are you using a router or just a hub?

Is the firewall feature disabled on the xp computer?

i dont know about a firewall feature?>.. but the laptop running win2k can be seen. i dont know how that happened. if it matters at all
