Hi everyone, currently I am learning the windows 2000 domain network, but I am quite confusing about some of the concepts such as ˇ§Active Directory integrate with DNSˇ¨. Could any one please tell me how does the Active Directory interact with the DNS server and DHCP server within a domain when a user logon to the domain from a client computer and when the user want to access to some services which are available in the Active Directory.

Servers register not just their IP addresses but also info about the Services they provide into DNS. Thats how clients find domain controllers and directories etc. DHCP is not integrated with AD, but can provide some usefull extra functionality (i.e. for Remote installation service). Also Windows 2000/xp clients will register themselves in DNS.
