Comment:

We have a small business LAN with one Win 2000 Server as domain server, one Win XP Professional dedicated to connect to the internet, the rest are client pc's with the Win 98 OS. we installed wingate 4.5.2 to share and monitor internet use of client pc's. The prob, using the win XP pc, I couldn't log on to the network, but I can share files, printers and internet with other computers. I've tried the networking wizard of win XP but it couldn't detect the server. I've already set the username and password in the win 2000 server. Also, when i am trying to access the gatekeeper of wingate, the message "there was problem connecting to the server - no username given" prompts Please help! TY!

I am assuming this is DNS since xp as gateway. check the DNS settings or post the result of ipconfig /all here.
