Specs: Windows XP PRO, 2GB
I have win xp home on a computer and its firewall only restricts access to other computers on the same local network when I disable the exception "share files and printers". What I mean is that no matter what customized list I set as scope for the exception "share files and printers" because it seems that as long as that exception is enabled, then the other computers will not find restrictions to enter into this one. Even though the other computers' ip is not present in the scope's customized list of this exception.
Does anyone know why is this happening?
I have checked that this does not happen with Win XP PRO. That is to say, WIN XP PRO firewall does what I expect.
Any idea?

There was a similar thread where the owner was having trouble with permissions. The basic answer is that XP Home is really not made for networking. It can see shares but that's about it. I don't know if there is some third party software to correct the problem.
