I'm having a strange problem accessing my XP Pro computer on the network. There's 2 computers with XP Pro on them. I'm using a wireless router and connect the 2 together with an Ethernet cable. Both can access the Internet just fine, however, on the one that I've added to it, can't access any of the files on there from the other one. They both are using the same workgroup name and it has a drive shared on there, but when trying to access it, it says it is not accessible. "You might not have permisson to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissons.
Unable to impersonate using a named pipe until data has been read from that pipe."
Both of the computers have all the same user accounts, all of which are set up as admin. I've tried connecting using different usernames with their respective password, but nothing has worked. Simple file sharing is enabled on both and all software firewalls (including the built-in one) are turned off.
BTW, when I go to View Workgroup Computers, it'll be listed there, but if I try to right-click and select Properties on it, it'll say the server computername does not accept remote requests.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Thanks!

It sound like you ran the network wizard on the system and enabled the XP firewall. Open Network Connections and check the text under the network card icon. If it says enabled/firewalled then you have XP firewall turned on and it needs turned off.

Since there is no server in your network each PC needs to have the same user account on it. You already have the same workgroup, so the next step would be to run the network wizard on each one again. Once this is done turn off the firewall on each one. The wizard activates the firewall when run. You need to run the wizard so that file sharing is enabled. This will also adds My Network Places to the Start menu on each system. Wait for 5-10 minutes to open each network places so that they can update the connection settings on each other. Make sure that you are logged into both systems with the same user name. This should let you see the shared My Document directory. If you need more directories shared activate them as needed by right clicking on the directory and setting the share.
Good luckRichard
