CPU/Ram: 1.3GHz 450Mhz

i was wondering if it is possible to have an comptuer that is running xp to see an computer that is running win 2000?.

somthing happend a few months ago. my bros comp did somthing and for an few days my win2000 comp can see his winXP comp. i guess im asking how can i make it see the win2000 see the winXP

Yeah you can make them see each other.

check the tcp/ip setting and make sure the numbers are close: ex.

ip address
his: 128.128.238.1
yours: 128.128.238.2

subnet mask
255.255.255.0

make sure you have installed
client for microsoft networking
service for file and print sharing
and tcp/ip on each computer.

get to tcp/ip properties on 2k/xp
r-click network neighborhood
click properties
right click the lan connection
click properties
