Thanks...Im-s,

I already been there..Most of the websites..I read about..They seems to be WEAK or not enough information on P.P.P.o.E connection using MS ICS with DSL.

I have tried before with 56K modem using MS ICS I can shared Internet Connection..but not with the P.P.P.o.E. Adapter which DSL requires. If anybody does get it to worked...tell me the secret!

Thanks.

I run win98 2nd Ed. and also use PacBell DSL. I use x-over cable for my second computer, and I used ICS, it did not work every time. I could log into the pacbell system, but my DNS servers were not connecting. Try setting the IP address of the host machine to 192.168.0.1, Enable IP forwarding, and Enable DHCP on your machine. On the client machine, set your gateway to be 192.168.0.1. Log in with your host machine, make sure you are connected and then open the IE on the client PC. Hope this works.

Good Luck
Tom

Response #3,

Tell me more of how you did it. Because I tried Everything and guess what..? MY PC crashed big TIME. NIC Cards has conflicts..and even if the NTS, MS ICS says it will work for DSL...no way!

I think I got one of the lastest version of ENTERNET 300 v4.1 & followed directions as suggested by NTS..but still the ICS not function.

look... give up on it.. I did.. just wait untill the people from microsoft realise the bug in the ics program in win me.
do wat i did.. just use another program to do the same job if not better.. use sygate.. it virtually does the same time only better..
try d/l it at http://www.sygate.com
trust me.. i've look everywhere for the answers and the only real answer is.. get on with your life and stop wasting time on ics with PPPoE.
