I have a 2PC network with a Gigafast Cable router. One computer runs Win98SE and the other runs WinXP. The router is connected to a Webcast external cable modem. The two PC's can see each other over the network but I am only able to get an internet connection on the XP PC. The Win98SE PC is giving a DNS error when the browser is trying to connect. Both PCs use the same workgroup name, the cables are correct, the router is working fine. I have reformated the Win98SE PC (it needed it) so the installation has no old connection remnants. I have reached my networking knowledge limit and would appreciate any help.
